Leading with Heart, Redefining Success.

If you spend even a few minutes talking with Suzanne Tinsley, one thing becomes abundantly clear. She doesn't measure success by titles, accolades, or the next rung on the corporate ladder. She measures it by people.

As Executive Vice President and Agency Director at First National Title Insurance Company, Suzanne has built a career spanning decades across independent agencies, national operations, and underwriting.

Today, she leads one of the industry's most respected agency teams, but she'll quickly tell you that her greatest joy isn't found in her own accomplishments. It's watching others discover what they're capable of.

"I've learned that my greatest fulfillment comes from helping others succeed," Suzanne says. "When you remove obstacles, provide the right resources, and genuinely believe in people, incredible things happen."

From her home in Fort Worth, Texas, Suzanne continues to champion the independent agency community while leading with authenticity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.

Finding Her Place.

Suzanne's title journey began in the heart of Fort Worth as a sales representative for a large national title agency. "I was hooked from day one," she says.

As the industry evolved through mergers, market shifts, and economic uncertainty, Suzanne found herself growing right alongside it. But one lesson became increasingly clear.

She wasn't wired to simply blend into the background. 

"I realized I couldn't thrive in environments where I felt like a cog in the machine."

She wanted to contribute. To solve problems. To build. To make an impact that people could see and feel.

That desire ultimately led her to First National Title Insurance Company, where she found not just a career, but a culture that aligned with her values.

 Today, she wears many hats. Sales leader. Strategist. Problem solver. Coach. Cheerleader.

And she's perfectly happy jumping in wherever she's needed most.

The Women Who Helped Shape Her.

Like many successful women, Suzanne's journey has been influenced by remarkable mentors. She credits Elizabeth Trout, her Commercial Sales Manager during the Great Recession, with helping her navigate one of the industry's most challenging seasons.

"I wouldn't be the professional I am today without her coaching and encouragement."

She also speaks with tremendous admiration for Tracy McMahon, whose leadership showed her the importance of finding and using her voice.

"She taught me how to champion my team and how to speak up in rooms where others might be talking over me."

Those lessons continue to shape Suzanne's leadership style today.

Defining a Life You're Proud to Live.

For Suzanne, success has become much less about climbing higher and much more about living intentionally.

Early in her career, like many of us, she believed success followed a linear path or a too often subscribed formula—work harder, achieve more, earn that next title, and keep moving. But over time, she discovered that the most fulfilling seasons of life weren't defined by accomplishments alone.

They were defined by the people she impacted, the relationships she built, and the peace that came from living in alignment with what mattered most. 

"I've realized there isn't a predetermined finish line. There will always be another goal, another opportunity to learn, another mountain to climb."

 That perspective has changed everything.

Today, she encourages women to stop measuring themselves against someone else's expectations and start asking a different question: What does success look like for me?

Maybe it's leading a company. Maybe it's mentoring the next generation. Maybe it's having dinner with your family every night or creating space for the life you've always imagined.

There isn't one right answer.

Suzanne believes the most meaningful careers are built one intentional decision at a time. And when she reflects on her own journey, she doesn't see unexpected turns or missed opportunities. She sees a path that taught her resilience, shaped her perspective, and led her exactly where she was meant to be.

Strength Built Through Faith.

Suzanne's resilience has been shaped by far more than business. In 2007, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, a challenge that forever changed her perspective.

"My faith became my lifeline."

Each morning begins the same way. Quiet time. Devotion. Scripture.

It's there that she finds the strength to lead with empathy, grace, and perspective.

Living with chronic health challenges has also taught her an invaluable lesson.

"We're all carrying burdens other people can't see."

That awareness has transformed the way she leads her team and serves others.

Her Why.

Early in her career, Suzanne's motivation was simple. As a single mother, she was determined to provide a better life for her children. "I had everything to prove." That season taught her grit, perseverance, and the determination to keep moving forward regardless of obstacles.

Today, while her circumstances have changed, that same work ethic remains.

Only now, it's fueled by something even greater.

Creating opportunities.

Supporting her team.

Helping independent agents succeed.

And striving to make a real difference.

Leading with Kindness.

In an industry that can be demanding and fast-paced, Suzanne has discovered that some of the strongest leaders are often the calmest. She's become a student of non-verbal communication. "When people are upset, they usually just want to be heard."

Rather than matching frustration with frustration, she chooses curiosity, active listening, and composure. "If you meet anger with anger, the conflict grows, If you meet it with calm, everything changes."

It's an approach that's earned both trust and respect throughout her career.

The Music Behind the Leader.

Outside the office, Suzanne has a fun side that surprises many people. She grew up in an incredibly musical family. She sang in show choir. Played piano. Sang in church.

And today?

If there's karaoke at an industry event...

Don't be surprised if Suzanne is first in line for the microphone.

Her first concert also says a lot about her adventurous spirit- Whitesnake.

(Just don't ask whether her mother knew about it.)

Her Village.

Suzanne smiles when she talks about her family. Her husband, Bill, has been her rock for the past fifteen years. Together they've built a beautiful blended family with four children and two grandchildren who bring endless joy to their lives.

She's equally grateful for her professional family at First National Title Insurance Company.

For Suzanne, success has never been a solo journey.

A Legacy of Service.

When Suzanne thinks about legacy, she doesn't immediately think about awards or business accomplishments. She hopes people remember something much simpler.

Kindness.

 Beyond the title industry, Suzanne has invested countless hours supporting organizations throughout her Fort Worth community, including Love4Locals, Lena Pope's Fiesta de Oro, Bras for a Cause, and RU4Children.

She believes our greatest success is measured not by what we accumulate, but by what we give away. "One must use their strengths and resources to lift others."
