Feature Spotlight #73 - Amanda Molinare-Lopez

Amanda Molinare-Lopez — Legacy, Leadership & Relationships That Last.

Some women grow up around the title industry.

Others grow into it.

Amanda Molinare-Lopez, VP/Sales Manager at Chicago Title Austin, did both.

With 20 years in the business and roots that run deep in Texas title history, Amanda’s story is one of legacy, resilience, heart, and strategic brilliance. A native Austinite, she carries both the pride of her hometown and the responsibility of a family name that has long been respected in the Texas title insurance industry.

Born Into Title — But Choosing It for Herself.

Amanda jokes that she was “born at her dad’s desk.”

Her father, Larry Molinare, owned one of the oldest title companies in Texas. Title was always part of the backdrop of her life. At just 14 years old, she was answering phones at his company.

And yet — heading into college — she was certain of one thing: This was the business she would never get into.

But title has a way of calling you back.

What ultimately drew Amanda in wasn’t the paperwork, policies, or procedures. It was the people. The trust. The relationships. The collaboration. The opportunity to grow alongside others building something meaningful.

“This industry isn’t just about transactions — it’s about connection.”

What she once resisted became the place where she found purpose, community, and a career built on relationships that truly matter.

A Strategic Mind With a People-First Heart.

Today, as VP/Sales Manager for Chicago Title Austin, Amanda leads with a rare balance of analytical precision and relational depth. She is passionate about:

  • Sales strategy

  • Growth planning

  • Problem solving

  • Building teams around individual strengths

She can “geek out” over numbers and market data just as easily as she can spend hours connecting with a prospective client. That balance of strategy and sincerity is what defines her leadership.

For Amanda, growth isn’t accidental. It’s intentional, disciplined, and deeply relational.

 Mentorship That Shaped Her Leadership.

Like many women in title, Amanda has worn multiple hats including escrow, sales, and leadership. Along the way, she learned from many strong women. But one stands out in her formative sales years: Michelle Piperi, her first sales manager.

Michelle taught her how to navigate difficult conversations with clarity and empathy. She demonstrated how to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment without sacrificing integrity. Amanda credits Michelle for shaping how she shows up today:

Direct, but compassionate. Strategic, but always people-first.

Another influential voice came from Sherry Bounds, who reinforced a lesson Amanda now carries deeply: “Kindness is not weakness.”

Holding Her Ground Without Losing Her Heart.

One of Amanda’s greatest challenges as a woman in title has been learning how to hold her ground while staying true to herself. Early in her career, she felt pressure to soften her voice or over-explain her confidence in rooms where assertive women were not always received equally.

Navigating that tension required courage.

Over time, she discovered that clarity, consistency, and integrity speak louder than defensiveness ever could. “Strength doesn’t have to be loud — and kindness doesn’t mean weakness.”

That realization changed everything. It allowed her to lead authentically and create space for other women to do the same.

Advice to the Next Generation.

Amanda’s message to women entering the industry is powerful: Give yourself permission to learn, and to take up space while you do.

Title is complex. It’s fast-moving. It’s deeply relationship-driven. No one expects perfection on day one.

Start at the ground level.

Ask questions.

Stay curious.

Protect your integrity.

And above all — trust that your voice belongs in the room.

Her Why: Legacy in Motion.

Amanda’s “why” is deeply rooted in legacy. She learned from her father that this business is a responsibility to serve with integrity and care. His name still carries respect in Texas title circles, and that legacy shaped her standard of excellence.

Now, she’s building her own.

Her daughter and two sons are her daily motivation. She wants them to see not just professional success, but the ripple effect of influence —the lives she has impacted, the teams she has grown, the people she has served.

“This isn’t about closing deals. It’s about investing in people.”

Even on the hardest days, that purpose keeps her steady.

Books That Reinforced Her Philosophy.

Two books that deeply influenced Amanda’s leadership journey are:

  • Grit

  • The Compound Effect

Both reinforced what she’s experienced firsthand, that success isn’t built overnight. It’s built through discipline, consistency, and resilience.

She also enjoys listening to The Diary Of A CEO, appreciating its thoughtful conversations with high-level leaders.

Leading Through Conflict With Composure.

In a competitive and regulated industry, tension is inevitable. Amanda approaches difficult personalities with calm curiosity. She listens first. She seeks to understand the root of the issue. She separates emotion from solution. “You don’t have to match aggression to be effective.”

Empathy and boundaries can coexist. Clear communication and steady leadership set the tone. Her advice to women?

Don’t shrink to keep the peace. Trust your instincts.

Character, Grit, and Responsibility.

Amanda believes the title industry survives because of character.

In a competitive market, relationships are the differentiator. Integrity, empathy, and mentorship aren’t optional but essential.

Lifting others up doesn’t weaken success. It multiplies it.

Amanda’s grit comes from responsibility to her family, her team, her faith, and the clients who trust her. On difficult days, she reminds herself that leadership isn’t about comfort. It’s about consistency and impact.

Her resilience is anchored in purpose. When your work is rooted in service, you find a way forward.

The Village That Makes It Possible.

Amanda’s support system is strong and steady. Her husband, Josh, is her grounding force; offering encouragement and partnership in every season. Her family instilled the values and work ethic that shape how she leads.

She is also deeply supported by Chicago Title leadership, whose trust and people-first philosophy allow her to lead without barriers.

And then there’s her tribe — her sales reps! Coaching them, walking alongside them, and watching them grow is one of her greatest professional joys. “We are truly stronger together.”

The Creative Side of a Sales Strategist.

Outside the office, Amanda is a creative at heart. From launching a charcuterie board side business to remodeling and designing homes, she thrives when she has a project to build and refine.

Her first concert? George Strait.

Because she’s a Texas country girl through and through.

Her Mantra: Do the Right Thing.

Amanda lives by a simple but powerful philosophy: Do the right thing.

Success comes and goes. Numbers rise and fall. Markets shift. But how you make people feel — and how you lead in moments that matter — lasts.

That belief guides every decision she makes.

Legacy in the Making.

When asked what impact she hopes to leave, Amanda is clear: An industry that values people as much as performance.

She wants to help shape a title landscape where collaboration outweighs competition, where leadership creates opportunity, and where relationships matter just as much as results.
