Feature Spotlight #74 - Nancy Adams

Nancy Adams —An Unexpected Beginning That Changed Everything.

Not every title story begins with a five-year plan. For Nancy Adams, it began with a recommendation. When a friend transitioned into becoming a stay-at-home mom, she suggested Nancy step into her role. That one opportunity opened the door to an industry Nancy never saw coming — but now can’t imagine leaving.

“I entered the title industry unexpectedly,” Nancy shares. “But sometimes the best paths are the ones you didn’t map out yourself.”

Now serving as Southeast Marketing Manager for Investor’s Title Insurance Company, and based in Canton, Georgia, Nancy brings years of industry experience and more than three years with her current company into every relationship she builds. What started as a career move became a purpose-driven profession rooted in trust, partnership, and consistency.

Marketing Rooted in Relationships.

For Nancy, marketing in title insurance isn’t about brochures or branding alone; it’s about people. “I believe in relationship-driven marketing,” she says. “Be you. Be genuine. People will trust you.”

Her passion lies in educating clients, supporting agents, and helping them reach successful closings with clarity and confidence. She understands that the most valuable marketing strategy isn’t flashy — it’s dependable. Showing up prepared, responding quickly, and standing behind your word builds a reputation that lasts.

“Trust is built long before the closing table,” Nancy explains. “It’s built in the conversations, the follow-up, and the way you show up consistently.”

Confidence Earned Through Preparation.

Like many women in the industry, Nancy faced the challenge of being taken seriously early in her career. Instead of shrinking, she leaned into preparation.

“Confidence comes from knowing you’ve done the work,” she says. “Thorough preparation gives you a seat at the table.”

Over time, she learned that authority doesn’t require loudness. It requires steadiness. By staying poised and informed, she earned respect in rooms that once felt intimidating.

Inspired by Strong Women.

Nancy credits Mary Anne Harris of Positively Balanced as a powerful influence in her professional life. Mary Anne’s ambitious spirit and contagious energy elevated Nancy’s confidence and showed her how to navigate the industry with pride, honor, and joy.

Watching a strong woman lead boldly reinforced Nancy’s belief that success and integrity can coexist beautifully.

Her Why: Family, Purpose & Daily Discipline.

Nancy’s “why” is rooted in building a life she is proud of and taking care of the people she loves most. Her family is her greatest motivator, especially her husband Troy of 33 years. “He has always pushed me further,” Nancy says. “He believed there was both personal and professional payoff in taking big strides.”

Even when her twins were little, Nancy found a way to execute a mom/wife/work balance. That determination built the resilience she carries today.

Every morning begins with movement — whether it’s running, cross-fit, or weightlifting.

“Starting my day with a workout gives me grit,” she explains. “Feeling strong physically elevates my work life.”

And she speaks one phrase to herself daily: “Make it a great day.”

“Not every day is a good day,” Nancy adds. “But how you fight through it with positive energy reminds you that the day will end — and a new one will rise.”

Grit That Builds Success.

Nancy’s grit is rooted in consistency and energy. Starting the day strong physically elevates her mindset and work performance. That disciplined approach has earned her recognition as a President’s Club Top Performer at multiple companies throughout her career — an accomplishment she holds with humility and pride.

She is also unafraid to ask for business. Rejection doesn’t deter her. “I’m not afraid to ask for business,” she says confidently. “There will be no’s — but there is always a yes.”

That mindset has fueled long-term success in a competitive industry.

Her growth mindset was shaped by The SalesMind by Doug Trenary, which encouraged her to examine her internal beliefs about sales and success. She also draws inspiration from motivational speaker Tony Robbins, whose teachings helped her build confidence and resilience in her sales career.

 Leading Through Challenge with Composure.

When managing challenging personalities, Nancy removes emotion first. She listens carefully, stays calm, and responds with professionalism and clarity. Her advice to other women is clear:

“Keep your composure. Trust your instincts. Be respectful. Stay poised.”

 That is what defines leadership.

She understands that tension often escalates when emotions lead the conversation. By maintaining calm authority, she creates space for resolution rather than conflict.

Character as the Industry’s Foundation.

Nancy believes the title industry thrives because of character-driven leaders. In a competitive and highly regulated field, relationships and integrity set professionals apart. She models empathy, accountability, and support consistently.

Cultivating character doesn’t require grand gestures. It requires consistent practice — choosing integrity over shortcuts, empathy over ego, and collaboration over competition.

“Leading with character strengthens everyone,” Nancy adds.

Joy Beyond the Office.

Outside of work, Nancy finds joy in cooking. She and her husband love spending time in the kitchen together, enjoying a glass of wine, music playing in the background, and creating homemade meals. When the Big Green Egg is smoking a ham, Boston Butt, or steaks, the neighbors inevitably stop by.

Her first concert was Mother’s Finest, a vibrant 80s memory that still brings a smile to her face.

Well-Being & Balance.

Nancy prioritizes well-being by conducting personal “self-checks.”

“It’s important to stay intentional about managing your energy,” she explains. “Set clear expectations and ask for support when you need it.”

Burnout prevention, for Nancy, is about awareness and balance — not perfection.

Legacy & Lasting Impact.

When Nancy reflects on the legacy she hopes to leave, it is simple and sincere. She wants agents to say she was trustworthy, dependable, and someone they could call a friend.

“I want to leave this industry with no regrets,” she says. “Knowing I always did the right thing.”

If she could improve one thing in the title industry, it would be greater transparency in the title process. Helping consumers clearly understand what they are paying for and how their largest asset is protected would elevate trust across the board.

A Final Word to Her.Collective

Nancy’s encouragement to women entering the industry is heartfelt:

“You’ve got this. Be a listener. Surround yourself with talented people who want to see you succeed. Have fun learning — and don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself.”

Stay true to who you are.

Never underestimate yourself.

Preparation and consistency can open doors you never imagined.

And always remember —

You matter.

We are honored to celebrate Nancy Adams — a grounded, resilient, and relationship-driven Woman of Title whose grit and grace continue to strengthen our industry.
