The Power of Purpose, Perseverance & Promise-Keeping.
This week’s Her.Collective Women of Title Spotlight celebrates Marissa Vest, Regional Manager at AmTrust Title Insurance, whose 22-year journey in the title industry is defined by integrity, focus, and a deep commitment to doing exactly what she says she’ll do.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Marissa’s career has been a masterclass in dedication by building strong client relationships, leading with authenticity, and proving that confidence is earned through consistency.
“Always do what I say I’m going to do” isn’t just her work philosophy — it’s her personal standard, one that’s carried her through every stage of her career.
A Career Built on Opportunity and Grit.
Marissa didn’t plan to work in title insurance — but like so many great stories, hers started with a simple “yes.” While working at First Union, she held her securities license and was focused on a future in finance. Then a recruiter called and asked if she’d consider taking the North Carolina title insurance exam. She agreed, passed in 2003, and stepped into an entirely new world.
That decision changed everything. Marissa quickly found herself thriving in title insurance sales — a space where her communication skills, work ethic, and natural drive could shine. What began as a new career path became a lifelong passion.

Leading with Integrity.
Today, as a Regional Manager for AmTrust Title Insurance, Marissa oversees growth and relationships across the region, working closely with agents to help them succeed. Her leadership is grounded in integrity and dependability; two values that define her both personally and professionally.
Colleagues and clients alike know that when Marissa commits to something, she delivers. Her steady, reliable presence has made her a
trusted partner in an industry built on
relationships and reputation.
Rising Above Challenges.
Marissa’s path hasn’t been without challenges, especially in her early years, when navigating the dynamics of a male-dominated space wasn’t always easy.
She recalls working under a manager who only wanted her to schedule meetings, reserving the credit for closing deals himself. “It was frustrating,” she admits. “But it also motivated me to master every aspect of what I do.”

Rather than let those experiences define her, Marissa used them as fuel. They taught her self-reliance and strengthened her resolve to build her own voice and value in the industry.
The Heart Behind Her Why.
At the center of Marissa’s success is a deep sense of purpose. She finds fulfillment in the impact her work has on others — knowing that each policy she helps protect plays a vital role in someone’s life story.
“My why is knowing that I’m protecting one — if not the largest — investment an individual will ever make,” she says. “That’s a blessing.” It’s this understanding that keeps her grounded and grateful. For Marissa, every transaction represents more than just a deal, it’s a moment of trust, a milestone for a family, and a reminder of why this work matters.
Mentorship and Paying It Forward.
If there’s one thing Marissa wishes more women in the title industry embraced, it’s mentorship. “Get a female mentor,” she advises younger professionals. “We don’t talk about it enough, but women helping women is how we change the landscape.”
Her own growth has been shaped by collaboration and connection — and she believes strongly in lifting others along the way. “Mentorship isn’t just about guidance,” she says. “It’s about giving someone belief in themselves before they fully see it.”

Strength and Focus.
Marissa’s inner strength comes from her belief that success isn’t optional — it’s a mindset.
“Success is my only option, so I stay focused on my goals.”
When faced with difficult people or stressful situations, she filters them through two simple questions: Does it impact me? Can I change it? That focus helps her preserve her energy for what truly matters.
“It’s easy to get caught up in things that don’t serve you,” she reflects. “But clarity — knowing what to care about and what to release — that’s what keeps you moving forward.”
Family, Football, and Fierce Joy.
Outside of work, Marissa’s heart belongs to her family. As mom to Alexis and Harrison, she finds her greatest joy in watching her children grow, learn, and chase their own dreams.
Her downtime includes cheering on her beloved LSU Tigers on college football Saturdays, a passion that matches her professional energy and competitive spirit.
And in true rock-and-roll fashion, her first concert was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts — a fitting symbol of her fearless attitude and bold personality.
A Legacy of Loyalty.
When Marissa looks ahead, she hopes to be remembered not only for her success, but for the relationships she’s built along the way. “My legacy,” she says, “is my commitment to my agents, showing up for them, supporting them, and honoring the trust they’ve placed in me.”
It’s a simple truth that defines her work: reliability builds reputation. And in Marissa’s case, that reliability has built an extraordinary career.

The Essence of Marissa Vest.
From her unexpected start in title to more than two decades of leadership, Marissa Vest has shown that perseverance, integrity, and authenticity never go out of style. She’s proof that doing the right thing — even when it’s the hard thing — always pays off.
In her own words, she’s “blessed to be considered” among women shaping the future of the industry. And in ours, she’s exactly the kind of woman who reminds us why we do this work — with heart, honesty, and purpose.
Her.Collective proudly celebrates Marissa Vest, a Woman of Title who leads with authenticity, heart, and unwavering integrity — proving that true power lies in keeping your word and lifting others as you rise.
